ewcm - sink or float
Hi there,
Just a quick question about EWCM.
In water does it sink or float?
I know it was posted here a long time ago (can't find it) where someone said a good way to tell if it was sperm or ewcm was to put it in water & one of them either sinks or floats.
Thanks, Jo

I'm not sure about sinking or floating, but EWCM won't disolve in water & semen will.

It floats(ish) - same as if you put an egg white in water (you can see this when poaching an egg). HTH!

Actually...the answer is EITHER or BOTH!
Sometimes it will "glug" together and float, looking like egg in an egg flour soup. Other tiems it will "glug" and sink.
What it doesn't do is disperse as semen does when immersed. Another test is to put some on your finger and wave it around in the air. EWCM will not dry, whereas semen will.

i never thought to check EWCM like this - good suggestions :)

I agree with Lisa about testing whether it dries - the semen will always dry faster that EWCM (for me anyways!)

LOL!! Had no idea about this test. I Must try it next time...:)

I have never thought about this either!

There will be lots of Dhs asking soon "what the heck are you swinging you hand around in the air for with that stuff on it?"
Nice to see you posting Mum in Tas, hope all is going well for you

Hello, the air dry thing sounds easier than locating a container of water!
My question: How long do you wait before you decide if it's drying or not?? Is it swoosh it in the air for a minute? Less? Longer??
