I really really want to bf the next baby now that I'm oh again but I'm scared I won't be able to I am still upset I didn't get to bf ds at all he had ebm for 4 days :'( but never fed off me and I will be do sad if I don't get to bf this one I see this as my second chance
Really really wanting to is a great start, hun. Have you joined the ABA? Perhaps that is something you could do. They run BFing classes that you can attend before bub is born to learn about it all, that way you go in fully armed. EBM for 4 days is 4 days more than having not tried at all :hug: Get ready armed with all the information, go into it positive but know that it can be very hard especially in the early days but that if you stick to it it does get easier! Ask questions, vent away and know that we are all here to give you the support you need to make your hope a little easier :hug:
like LD said, the fact you really want to is a great start. The ABA are also a great source of support and information. It can be hard to start, but surround yourself with supportive people and give it everything you've got!

join! basically you get a mag sent to you every few months, and discounts on baby related things.
but you don't have to be a member to call the help line, or go to the meetups. maybe giving them a call now might help, they will probably be able to chat to you about your nervousness etc... and its free and 24/7 =)
I haven't called them cause I kinda feel silly or seething like its not that bigger thing to other ppl cause everyone else seems to be able to

Jellybean most ABA groups are incredibly welcoming... All the ABA volunteers (counsellors, educators etc) are bound by a code of ethics, which means that it should be a more friendly, helpful group, because they will guide the conversations away from controversial things.
Does that make sense?
I can't speak for every group of course but I'd like to think ours is very open and friendly.
The best thing you can do is sign up for a BEC - breastfeeding education class, where you will meet other expectant parents and some of the ABA volunteers who will be part of your local group.

It's best to attend when you are somewhere in your third trimester, but before you get too big and sore to get everything out of it.
Going along to regular meetings will help immensely once bubs is born.

Thanks so much i know I should be happy my son is very healthy and stuff but It still hurts that I can't breast feed him and I don't have closure because the choice was taken away from me I wanted to continue but I couldn't and then had to go through the physical pain of waiting for my milk to dry up :,(
I'm was exactly the same. Like ~TT40~ said its basically a mag and discounts, if that what you want it to be. Thats all I ever used it as. You can make it as much as you want ie local meetups, babys day out, train to be a counsellor yourself etc :) In hindsight, I wished i had called the hotline so many times. I was too stubborn, felt like I was the only person who couldnt work it out and didnt want to get on the phone in tears; but had I called it sure would have made my journey a lot less lonely and difficult!:
Never ever feel silly. If asking a question helps you achieve your dream to BF your 2nd child, ask away. No question is too small or too trivial, that's what these people are trainjed to assist you with :hug: I can't give stats, maybe someone else can but people might seem to be able to BF but I can assure you the percentage is lower than it seems at times. I think around 95% of BF woman have troubles at one stage or another.:
