Monthly TMI question

Why oh why do I get a sore bum every month :(. Sorry for the TMI but I'm over it

I got my first ever heamoroid nearly 2 years ago and it went away just fine after a few painful weeks. About 6 months later I got what I thought was another and it arrived at the same time as my period

Now every month without fail on the first day of my period my bum gets sore. It goes away the same day my period does. And I really am too embarrassed to go to the dr. I know they've seen it all before but it's just me and my issues

So questions. Does anyone else get this? And would heamoroid suppositories help?

Ps. Can't actually feel a heamoroid there but more like skin tags. Sigh.

got this TMI from a friend once (the bane of my degree lol) convinced her to go to the doctor..... She ended up having mild endometriosis.... *up there*

I have had a very achey, almost throbbing, pain that was around my anus and vagina (can i say those words on here??) every month on the first day of my period, which started after I had DD. I put it down to the tear I got while giving birth and the general trauma that area goes through and the impact of the monthly hormones on the area. I've never had haemmorhoids..... But as above, if I was worried or in a lot of pain, I'd be off to my GP.

Sounds like endo to me. I had a lump in my bellybutton which was extremely painful and bled each month - I had it removed and they tested it and it was endo.

Would you believe this. Went to the dr today to get a script refilled. It's for very heavy and crampy periods. I've been on it for a year. She is now sending me for an ultrasound as she thinks it's endo

I am a little clueless as I thought it was something you always had mpbut apparently not.

I guess I'll know more after the us.

Glad you saw your gp, hope the u/s will help and you can have some way to treat. No good being in more pain every month then you have to.

Just FYI - an ultrasound can't find endo. You would have to have a laparoscopy for that.

Perhaps you could have a fibroid or an adhesion? But combined with the heavy periods it could also be endo.

I hope you can get some answers. It's not fair to be in such pain and if you can relieve that and the heavy bleeding too, then that would be great.

I've had my tubes tied and not really something I was expecting. I doubt this is what the issue is though. When I go back after the us I might have the guts to mention the bum issue. I nearly did today but was worried she would want to look while I have my period.

So you went to the doctor but didn't tell her anything about it? What's the ultrasound for - if she thinks you have endo, an ultrasound will show nothing unless there is a endometrioma (endo cyst) on an ovary.
I know it's embarassing, but doctors are very used to dealing with this stuff (just watch embarassingbodies andyou'll feel better), just be honest and remember, a doctor can't make you do anything you aren't comfortable with.

I went to the gp for a script refill for tablets I take for heavy periods. She just went from there. I'm going back this afternoon for a ling function so might mention it as well.

I never went there for anything but the script. Ended up being there ages cus she didn't want to refill the scripts without doing proper management. Have to now undergo an asthma management thing as well.
