Breastfeeding and AF
I know I've read over the years that AF has an effect on your breastmilk, but for the life of me I can't find anything now. AF has returned right on schedule :wall: and for the last three nights Miss A has fed every hour on the hour so I'm wondering if that, together with her cold is contributing to the feeding marathons. Not that I'm not having fun being awake all night for night after night of course :o
DH tried to give her a bottle of EBM last night, so I expressed but got significantly less than normal. So I'm wondering if AF affects supply levels as well as taste.
It is what it is, but just curious as to what's going on. Would love to be enlightened. Thanks lovelies.

With DD I got AF back around 6 weeks. Around AF time she was incredibly fussy and fed more ad pulled on and off. They say it affects taste (maybe strawberry flavored now lol) and I found I didn't feel as full and let down was slow but after AF is over it returns to normal but it is rather frustrating.

Thanks em. You've described exactly what she does. Hopefully it will pass soon - the AF and the extra fussiness!

My supply always drops with AF and bubs gets fussy/feeds more. And my nipples hurt! Supply picks up within 3-4 days of AFs arrival

When AF is around my supply drops very much. At one stage there I had to make lactation cookies to help boost it.
