Ut oh..

My mirena feels like it has moved. Previously I could feel the strings, they were short. Now, they are heaps longer, and I can feel the stem of the mirena poking out of the cervix. Do I have to get it removed? Is it still working? Will I ever be able to use IUD's?

It can't be relied on for contraception and you will need it out,
No reason you can't try another one though
Get thee to a doctor.
