Allergic Post nasal drip help - anyone?

I have severe allergies atm (yay spring.. not!) And one of the side effects is post nasal drip.
Because my breathing was so badly affected I'm on a 3 day course of steroids, symbicort (sp?), and ventolin as needed. I have also been given the OK for antihistamines, decongestants and cough medicine that helps with nasal stuff.
The drip is all very thin and I can still breath through my nose, but I can constantly feel it dripping down my throat and it's making me cough cough cough!! Only at night too! All day long I have been fine except for the occasional cough here and there, but as soon as I went to bed, Bam! The coughing started.
I have currently filled my quota of all the medicines I can take and so far nothing has helped!! I am still awake at 2am desperately tired and exhausted and have to wake up in 4-4.5hrs when DD wakes. And I know once I do fall asleep, these meds will zonk me and I'm going to be super exhausted because a couple were drowsy meds.

Anyone have any suggestions on things that help PND?? I'm getting super desperate :( :cry:

I have always had a post nasal drip, two operations haven't fixed it yet :(

When it's really bad I use saline spray and then give a good blow. This gives relief for a while but not overly long. At night I lie on my tummy as that helps the direction it travels, if I'm on my back it's much worse.

I've never actually tried this as my allergies improved when I moved interstate but I know some people swear by nasal irrigation with a neti pot.

I don't have any useful suggestions for you, sorry.
My husband had trouble with this for years, but recently discovered it was caused by dairy.

Ive heard about the neti pot thing working too. Cutting out dairy is another good suggestion, dairy promotes mucus production.

Food for thought too, lately I have read a bit about sinus issues actually being more related to fungal issues - so working on probiotics/gut issues. Can you focus on your immune system for a bit? Sounds like it will help with a few things there.

I've just discovered this saline nasal spray that is like amped-up fess. Basically it's a stronger saltiness than regular saline spray, and it's in a can so you get a more sustained squirt. I bought it because I've been having issues with my sinuses, but they've been ok the last couple of days so I haven't tried it out yet. might be worth trying, but simpler than doing the whole netipot thing.
