Anyone had SJD not during pregnancy?

To say I fell over yesterday would be a huge understatement. I know how it happened, but not exactly what happened when i landed. It was very shambolic, and the concrete was cruel to me.

Now i seem to have SJD. I feel the same as i did when i was pg with DS2. I can't move my legs any great distance apart and my pelvis hurts in the front. I have to do the royal 'legs together' thing to get into and out of the car etc.

Could i have SJD? (Aside for the egg on my head and the longest rope burn down my arm!)

Yes! I had a massive revisit of pelvic laxity (I assume that's what you mean by sjd) after I fell over at the shops. Basically went back to original treatment with physio and exercises etc. I didn't connect the 2 at first but in hindsight the timing was pretty clear.

I've had it for 15 months post pregnancy, related I believe to my crap mattress. Kind of just used to the pain but think I'd better do something before my 36th birthday.

Yes your pelvis could be weakened from your pregnancy and you could be having the same injury now. I have had similar and have had to go back on crutches a few times since my twins were born. Usually my chiro sorts me out within a week, I would suggest you do whatever helped you in pregnancy and don't forget to use loads of ice to reduce any inflammation around the injury. Hope you feel better soon.

Even now I often have to pull out the support belt I wore during pregnancy. My pelvis will never be 100%

Thanks everyone. I will go easy. I hope i don't have to see the physio this time - although she was fantastic last time.
I guess it's just weaker there now, and more susceptible to injury.
