Hashimoto's disease - how long till you conceived? can you carry full term?
So after 14 months ttc and having done all possible tests I have just been diagnosed with Hasimoto's disease. I will have to take thyroid meds for the rest of my life and the dr told me i will need to be closely monitored and possibly up dose of meds once i do fall pregnant as there is increased risk of m/c and development issues for foetus.
I have done some research about it but im getting worried. How long did it take to fall pregnant with Hashimotos? Anyone. Did you carry full term and were u and the baby healthy?
im happy we finally found the cause of my being tired ALL the time but very concerned now that it will take forever for us to conceive or try to regulate this thyroid problem :(
any one who was diagnosed with it with success stories? Please give me some hope.

I haven't yet been diagnosed with Hashimotos as my TSH levels are still be tracked. However I have had 2 blighted ovums in a row before taking thyroxine (50mg daily) but I really only started taking that at around 6 weeks pregnant, I'm now 11weeks.
I'm still not sure IF my thyroid had anything to do with my m/c's.
I do know that I never had a problem until just after I started Bikram Yoga. That is yoga on a warm room aimed at stimulation to the metabolism and thyroid.
It's not proven but my GP is pretty sure it wouldn't have helped.
I have been advised some women develop thyroid issues due to pregnancy. I have not had a problem conceiving, just no fetal development in the first 2, but we have a strong heartbeat at 7 and 9weeks.
