A friend has inflammatory breast cancer

We were in high school together, her kids are the same age as mine and she's heading in for her second round of chemo next wed.
They are planning a mastectomy and radiation, I don't know much else.
Is there any thing I should know, or any way in particular that I could support her that I might not have thought of?
For those who have been through similar, is there anything you wish someone had done for you that you wouldn't have asked for or realised at the time?
I'm stunned. I just want to do... Something. Anything. Already planning s pot of minestrone, but its not enough.

Such a shock, especially when it happens to someone who is so young. :hug: The BCNA website has brochures with suggestions for things to do and say. The main thing is not to assume anything, always ask how she feels. Make specific offers of help (eg "would you like me to pick the kids up from school on thursday?" not "just ring me if there's anything you need"). And whatever you do, do not tell her to "stay positive"!

We're not even 40 yet. Not that it would matter.
