Salt baths & newborn belly buttons

Do you think a salt bath would sting Mr Z's belly button? I am having salt baths for my stitches and it would be nice if he could have a bath with me. His umbilical stump fell off on Monday so isn't fresh....

I wouldn't think it would be harmful at all. Unless you put bucket loads of salt in. can you feel the salt on your stitches? Salt baths I've had haven't ever stung my bits, so would pressume it was safe

It would probably be good for him as long as there isn't too much salt in there :)

It stings my stitches but they are quite tight & inflamed which is why I'm having the salt baths. I guess I'll see how he goes.

I would think that it would be okay, as the others have said, as long as it's not too salty.
