Feeds and sleeps - how many

DD2 is 15 weeks (or 9 weeks corrected due to being 6 weeks early). How many feeds and sleeps should she be doing?

Currently we feed 4 times in the day and she sleeps all night. Yesterday her feeds were at 8, 12, 4 and I woke her at 830. Her last feed she was sleepy and would 'wake' for it. She is breastfeed but does get a small top up at night. I then had to wake her at 8 this morning for a feed. After her 4pm feed she is a nightmare to get back to sleep.

Can she go longer then 4 hours in the day. Maybe feeds at 8, 1230 then 5 and down for the night?

From memory I used to feed DD1 at 430/5 and she went down for the night till 7/8 in the morning

How big are her feeds? Seems young to be down to 4 feeds?

DS is 5 months and feeds 5 times during the day and usually once overnight. 3 naps during the day and overnight from 5.30- 4.30 (early riser- yuck!!) apart from quick 15 min feed at midnight.

She feeds 15-20 min on both sides. I've never had a supply issue, I expressed for 5 mins on either side on the weekend as she was at mums the night and easily got 240ish mls.

Can you try a dream feed at 8.30 instead of waking her?

I could but neither of them will do it. I've tried and failed with dd1 and dd2 will honestly sleep and not feed if she's asleep

4 feeds isn't very many for a bub that little.
My kids were all still feeding 2-2.5hourly at that age (DD2 still feeds that often lol). I'm not a clock watcher though, so I couldn't tell you times.
Can you squeeze in a couple of extra feeds during the day?

She doesn't want them tho. I'm waking her 4th hourly during the day. Don't believe in waking at night. I know it doesn't sound much but she's putting the weight (on average a kg a month). Is well into 5kgs as well as heaps of wet nappies. She was 2.7kgs born so a good premmie even.

How is she going?
Are you getting the signs of good intake - swallowing at the breast, plenty of wet nappies, growth and development, etc, etc?

Everything else is fine. Swallowing, burping, farting, happy when awake (generally). She's growing and hitting every mark she should be

Most babies will feed much more frequently than this, it's true. But if she's doing well, then she's doing well.
Is the top up due to concerns about your supply? If it's only a small amount, you could probably easily make up the difference with an extra breastfeed?

the reason for the formula was to help settle her after her last feed as she was prone to thrownig up - especially once down for the night. Meaning I would walk in after 15 minutes and she hada puddle there, by adding this in it reduced this. Now its jsut an added extra really, plus getting her used to having a bottle for times im not around (return ot work soon, few social things on that cant take her to etc)
