Do you think she's ready?
DD is only 21 months old, but is starting to do things that I think shows she might be nearing readiness for toilet training.
1. She loves following us into the toilet and saying 'wees' whilst watching us
2. She loves sitting on her potty before her bath/shower. Occasionally she does a wee in there and loves the applause lol.
3. (Now here's the big one), she's started telling us when she wants her nappy changed - especially if she's done a poo.
Do you think this is enough, or would you wait longer for more signs?
Do you think she's ready?
Hey Chody :)
My DD is nearly 27 months but showed similar signs around the same age, maybe slightly later. We've been encouraging her to sit on the toilet when the opportunity arises, and she often does a wee but rarely poos (actually its a bit frustrating as I always ask her in the morning if she needs to and she always says no but then does a poo within minutes!) but we haven't started fully TT yet. Mainly because with me working 3 days we don't have a span of days where we can be home and not go anywhere!
I think if I was to try it now it would work though. I'm guessing you'd like to do it before bub arrives? That's my plan too. I'm stopping work at 33 weeks so going to try then I think, or maybe a bit before. I'm not sure I'm ready yet!!
I say if you are ready (cos it sounds like she may be!) then give it a go.

That's my thoughts too - don't want to do it too soon but if I don't do it before bub then I don't see myself doing it for ages. Also trying to work out when to move her to her new room!
Realistically I think I will need to try TT sooner rather than later. Eeek!
