Yellow, syrupy milk...
I haven't fed DS from righty for about 2 weeks. He has been using lefty exclusively.
I just expressed a little from righty and it was a pastel yellow colour, syrupy, and tastes quite salty.
Lefty is clearish white, thin and sweet.
Is this just because he hasnt had that side for a while or should I be on the look out for mastitis?
I feel ok, a bit tired but I'm still trying to kick the fatigue from having shingles, so its probably that.

Milk does change when you wind down to weaning, so maybe that's it?

Hi,
It sounds like you are really having a tough time. It's weaning milk - your breast is involuting and as your body senses weaning is nigh the milk is become high in vitamins and immune factors and low in volume - a bit like colostrum. All normal! Will he go back do you think? You've both done great!

Yeah, he will, I only stopped that side because the rash was right under my breast and I didnt want him touching it. Rash is all but gone now so back to feeding both sides. :)
Thanks ladies! So glad to know Im not getting sick AGAIN!
