So, DH and I have decided we want to go away for the last time as a threesome before bubs is born but aren't sure where. DH is keen to go overseas but I'm a bit nervous about overseas travel whilst pregnant (we've been to tons of places whilst not pregnant). We live I'm SA but don't necessarily want to stay here (but don't mind if we do either). Does anyone have any good suggestions for a short trip that will be relaxing yet also will have things for DD to do? I always struggle to think of new places to go!

I personally wouldn't travel overseas while past 20 weeks pg. You will find it literally impossible to get travel insurance for that as well.
I would prob head to melb or syd and do their zoos, aquarium etc.

Good idea Beatrix. DH and I have done all tha before but I'd forgotten DD hasn't.
I would prefer to stay in Aust too when this far along (esp since nothing is booked yet). Anyone else have some good Aust ideas?

What about Hamilton or Hayman Island?
I just got back from Bali and I must admit I was exhausted in the heat and my feet and legs swelled really bad, apart from that we had an awesome time!!! Having said that im a travel agent and have been there many times before so I know where to eat/avoid etc.
If you are thinking something nice and tropical then i'd be thinking one of the islands within Aus :)

Depends if you want to do lots or just hang out somewhere beautiful - in which case I would go to Byron - fly into Coolangatta so you could hire a car from there and drive down!! Haven't been there since pre-kids and definitely want to head back!

My OH and I had a holiday on the Gold Coast before DS was born and it was great.

Thanks for the ideas everyone!

What about a cruise depending how far along you are if course. Has good kids club times So u and DH could also have some alone time :)

Sydney (zoo, aqurium etc)
Perth (Kings park, Rottnest island)
Whitsundays (beaches, water, fun and relaxing)
Gold coast (theme parks, beach, aquaduck tour etc)
Tasmania (port arthur, choc factory, richmond etc)
Phillip Island (pemguins, seals, churchill island)
Depends what you want to do

Chody,
My DH was just suggesting we do the same for our 1st yr anniversary too!
We are in Melbourne and were toying with coming to Adelaide! We could have done a swap!
But we were concerned with the flying factor, as I have still been bleeding, didn't want to add any issues to that!
So we have booked a b&b in Echuca. Looking forward to warmer weather than Melb, fresh local produce, and enjoying the country air!
