Is amniotic fluid sticky?
That's pretty much my question.
Is amniotic fluid sticky?
I can't remember from last time (last time I had an obvious membrane rupture, but this was only a small gush/trickle and now absolutely nothing), and I'm trying to work out if I have ridicuously excessive vaginal discharge (that is sticky, runny, watery and clear) or if I had a tiny little bit of fluid.
It happened as I was getting out of our 4WD (actually climbing may be better way to describe it, since i am quite short and climbing out of the car is awfully awkward!). Ran down my leg (lovely). Some chaos and giggles as DP didn't want it in the car (ROFL). Nothing more though. It didn't really smell like anything.
I'm hesitant to ring the hospital until I actually need to go in birth (or if something isn't right of course). Even moreso because I am planning a VBAC and I have GD and the head Ob tried to talk me into a S&S yesterday at my appointment, I know once I go in then that's pretty much it, I need thinigs to happen quickly in there and I know the opposite will happen!
I went for a short walk, and had a rest, and haven't had any more discharge/fluid since so I have no idea what it was. Was hoping to maybe have some sexy times tonight to help things on it's way (lol) but not sure about if that's ok if it was fluid?
Re: Is amniotic fluid sticky?
I think with ds my clear, gushing amniotic fluid was not sticky. But with dd, my thick, green meconium-filled fluid was not exactly sticky but very disgusting and messy.

Both times mine was very watery like normal wet CM but it copious amounts  Mine wasn't sticky at all. I hope it is yours though and you're in your way to meeting your LO! Good luck

Mine wasn't sticky either. It was more like a thicker feeling water. A little bit slimy.

Nope not sticky. Mine was mec stained so was slightly green/brown, but was just watery lol. Good luck!!
