Tuna Casserole
I want a really easy but tasty tuna casserole recipe please. I looked here but cannot see one.
I used to make one years ago but the base is no longer available and since then have not found one we both really like
Prefer one that doesn't use cream as we never have this in the house

Tuna Casserole
In my student days, I used to get a home brand cheese sauce sachet, big tin of tuna and a tin of corn and make the cheese sauce and mix the tuna and corn in, then put bread crumbs and cheese on top and bake. Was quick because you really only needed to heat it through, and only cost a few dollars to make, would last me a few days. Sometimes I would mix pasta in too (pre cooked) or frozen peas. Kind of like a tuna mornay I guess, so not sure if it is the type of recipe you were after, I'm not sure whether it counts as a casserole!

Tuna Casserole
I mix a tin of condensed asparagus or mushroom soup with a big tin of tuna in a saucepan add some pre boiled pasta stir then pour into a casserole dish add cheese on top and bake for 10 mins. Bit more of tuna bake than a casserole. Quick easy and yummy!

Have a ridiculously over indulgent one...... very very simple but a bit of trial and error for your casserole dish..... basically just cooked rice base the about an inch thick, covered with 1-1.5cm thick layer of tuna (drained) which is about 2 big tins for us...... and just topped with a 2cm thick layer of extra cheesy white sauce (Google recipe for it) topped with a layer of cheese :) and baked for around 20-30 mins until top is golden. Its a guaranteed heartburn worthy recipe but I love it so much and my nana makes it every time I visit (only 3-4 times a year :( )

Thanks, these are what I'm looking for. I have used a jar of tuna bake but found it to be to salty.

Mine is very basic with no packets required. It's my Mums recipe.
1 large tin of tuna
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced onions
Mashed potato
Grated cheese
Drain tuna and place into casserole dish.
Put sliced onion on top of tuna then sliced tomatoes.
Top with mash potatoes and then grated cheese.
Bake at 180 deg for around 30-40mins until cheese is melted and usually will go a little golden.
You can cook the sliced onion a little if you like before adding.
Easy to make and you could alter and add tinned corn to the tuna base as well.
