Similar sounding names- "lee" and alliteration

So my husband has pretty much decided he is thrilled with our chosen name, and while I like it too I have a bit of hesitation....

The chosen name is B illie Grace however, I am concerned because baby will have two step siblings (14 years older)- one named lly and the other . So as you can see Bi llie rhymes with ** and starts with the same letter as xx

Is that weird? I kind of think it is... I was trying to find a name that Bi llie could be shortened from but all I could find is Willow, Belinda, Wila, Willhemina, and I don't want any of those.

What do you think, are these names too rhymey and samey?

I think it sounds fine. My mother named all of us (4) with very individual names. However, when nicknames were used - and they were pretty much all the time, the names were incredibly similar - Ben and Gen. It never was a problem with us.

Maybe it would be worth considering discussing your name choice with the step siblings to make sure they are ok with the appeared similarity just to be sure. They might like to have some connection to their new sibling with a say in the name (but if you do that be ready to deal with it if they say no way!)

As for a longer name that can be shortened to B illie, I know a Sybilla who is known as B illie so maybe Sybilla or Sybil?

Love the name and think the sound good together. If you hadn't pointed it out I wouldn't have thought they were similar at all, still don't :D Not too samey same at all.

Thank you all!! I think I am overthinking everything with this pregnancy and bub! When I grew up all our names (four of us too) sounded different but all our names were either shortened or lengthened to something with an "ee" sound to be our nicknames.

We have spoken to the kids about it and B en's response was "cool" in a disinterested 13 year old manner :) ! lly thought it wasn't girly enough at first but she decided she liked it after a week or so.

I don't think they're rhymey at all - Molly and Holly, yeah, but not your name. And the first letter doesn't matter, the rest of the name is totally different. I really like the name you've chosen!

I'm still undecided about this. I am a paranoid because our dog and cat's names both - it was a weird coincidence and not planned at all, but I'm paranoid because people are already commenting
