Killer headaches @4DPO, every cycle.

I have noticed, since I started tracking my cycle, that at 3DPO I get a pimple breakout, and 4DPO I get a massive headache (or possibly a migraine?) that lasts for 2 days.
Could there some fixable cause for this or is it just something I have to live with?
I dont remember having it years ago, but no idea when it started either, maybe I have always had it... who knows.

Also, should I avoid taking nurofen at 4 DPO because we are TTC? Panadol doesnt scratch the surface but I'd rather suffer through it if it meant a healthy baby.

I've had headaches with o ever since I stopped taking bc before DS. I think its a hormonal thing. Sorry not much help, hugs.

My migraines are always horomne related, normally 2-3 days before AF. I found BC helped as did getting enough sleep and avoiding chocolate which was a trigger for me. I would take aspirin to help but you probably shouldnt while TTC. Not sure about the nurofen sorry

I think nurofen is best avoided as the ibuprofen is a blood thinner, but anything with paracetamol and codine is okay. I took Panadine when I was hyperstimulating in an IVF cycle on my clinics advice and it was a godsend! I'm sure if you need something stronger that would do the trick.

maybe if you keep tracking your headaches for a few months you can show a pattern to take to the Dr and discuss??

I would avoid ibuprofen too calluna. Panadeine extra is pretty strong, over the counter and I don't think it contains ibuprofen. Maybe just ask the pharmacist what's strong enough for a migraine but gentle enough while your TTC.

I'll talk to my doctor when I find a decent one. This doctor search is becoming ridiculous :(

Ever since my late teens, 3 or 4 days before AF I would get a blinding headache. It took me a long time to put the two together probably because I was young and wasn't really understanding my cycle. Nowadays I find that if I take something, Panadol etc, at the very first sign of the headache (even if it's a 2am) and drink heap and heaps of water that usually stops the progression. Funnily enough, when I was pregnant I didn't get 1 headache for 9 months but as soon as I got my period after DS was born the headaches returned.

I generally get headaches and insomnia right around O time, I figured it was a hormonal surge thing but not very pleasant! With the panadeine just be aware that it can make you drowsy, it does to DH and I.
