How humid is the weather? sometimes if its very dry you can get blood noses. Stress can cause them too.
It's quite humid for Adelaide today, so the air is not as dry as it normally would be.
Nothing has changed in his life for there to be any stress either I don't think.
You could ring the health line if your concerned and get advice from a nurse.
If its just a little then atm I wouldn't worry too much but if it keeps up over a few days maybe check with your gp
Has he been picking his nose while he is asleep? My eldest son does that sometimes
Can't see how old he is, DD has had them for years, often just before a cold comes on and if she overheats. I was told its because the capillaries on their nose are really close to the surface and picking or heat can make them swell and then bleed. She has started growing out of them though.
DP still gets them when the weather changes from cold to hot and vice versa - it has happened all his life. Maybe his nose is sensitive to the change from mild to really hot.
My DD used to get them quite a bit at the same age (ish) in the heat. Asked the GP and she said it was nothing to worry about as long as she didn't lose too much blood. She's now 3.5 and hasn't had one in ages.
Thanks everyone, I'm putting it down to the heat, he hasn't had another since.
