Gift for childcare workers

I know this is late, but I've been thinking for a while that I want to get a small gift for the lovely ladies that care for DD at childcare. There are 6 ladies that work in the nursary and I'd like to get something small for each of them. I've seen lots of boxes of chocolates in the room (I think people have been dropping off a box for them to share), which while nice, I'd prefer to do individual gifts.

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas? I'd prefer if each gift wasn't overly expensive as I need to do 6.

A Christmas ornament for their tree? Something for them to share in the staff room such as a cake or individual Christmas puddings?

I got a smoothie cup from Kmart for $3 each and filled it with smoothie recipes. The girls love it!

I made a round of cupcakes for everyone and made cards for each of the carers in DS' room with a photo of him on them.

I did some home made edible goodies, wrote up the recipes of each thing for each of them, individually wrapped it all and gave it to them in little baskets, with a mini bottle of baileys in it too.

Oooh what great ideas! I like the idea of making something to make it a bit personal. Hmmmmm what do I make?

I made sweet and spicy nuts, passion fruit melting moments and peppermint bark. All really easy and cheap recipes.

We decorated flower pots and DD chose different seedlings to go in each - strawberries, mint, thyme... She went to town with glitter glue and stickers on the pots. I thought they looked great and the teachers were suitably pleased and gave DD lots of warm fuzzies for her efforts! Worked out at about $5 per gift.

I bought DD's teachers a Christmas ornament and a $2 scratchie inside each card. They loved it.

I'm with Miss B - I got a big box of chockies too. Also Yesterday we made cupcakes and took DSs two carers in one each for morning tea

I had to do 14 gifts between CC, OCC, gymnastics as boys in diff CC rooms. I bought some glasses and filled with lindt balls and celebrations chocs. Then wrapped in celophane and ribbon to look like a tree with a gift card that the kids stampted and made.

Worked out at $3.5 per gift and all loved theres!

I saw an idea on Facebook today that was a pot plant with a lovely card saying 'thanks for helping me grow'. Lovely! I think a well written card goes down really well too.

My centre got a pot like that years ago - we still have it, the family painted the pot black and then used coloured permanent markers to write personal messages including the thank you for helping me grow. The plant is still alive 3 years later!

i made some white choc vanilla fudge in red/green colours. they loved it!! :)

We bought them macarons to have for morning tea. They loved them!
