'Hot Spot'

I have a spot on my right side which is giving me a lot of grief.

I call it a Hot Spot cause that's pretty much what it feels like. It started off with a hot, numb, tingling feeling and has now progressed to a tearing/sharp like pain with the same other symptoms.

Has anyone else had this? How did you treat it?

It hurts a lot :(

Couldn't be shingles could it? I'd probably see a dr. Hope it goes away for you soon.

Front or back? Near your ribs? I'm 39 weeks and have been suffering on and off with rib pain ( both front and back) that sounds similar. I have also had similar pain in my last pregnancy under my right breast and it felt like the skin was burning, but almost deeper (???) and in the same spot was sore to touch.
The rib pain has benefitted from osteopath appointments but I don't expect it to go until I've had bubs. The tender spot in my last pregnancy I think was a bit of nerve pain (but not shingles which I have had previously) associated with ribs etc. I couldn't resolve that one, but maybe a warm pack on the spot? Sorry not much help but I sure do know how you feel!
If you have an appointment soon, make sure you raise it with your care giver- not trying to scare you, but I think one of the symptoms of pre eclampsia is a similar pain under your right breast.

i get this too. i think it's because my tummy is so heavy it's the muscles pulling. i put a hot pack on it and give the spot a massage. it helps.

I went to the GP and she says its nerve pain and there isn't much I can do about it :(

It's feeling very much like a burn or jelly fish sting now.

Hopefully once the little fella drops it'll ease up.
