Is there anyone that can help me?

I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and lost our little one on 28th November. I've been spotting on and off once the bleeding finished.
My scans showed all was passed the day after my loss.

So, I know enough about pregnancy and loss to know BFP can show up for ages after a m/c but my understanding was your period wouldn't arrive till it was down to almost zero.

I had all my usual O signs in this first cycle after m/c and we did jump straight back on the wagon.

My question is:

Does a pregnancy test show positive even when your first period after a m/c arrives?

My period and all the ouchy cramping arrived today but its lighter than normal but with all the pain I would usually get with a full blown heavy day.

I did a HPT test today hoping to see it finally be negative after the m/c but there is still a faint line.

I'm confused and will wait it all out patiently but thought you might be able to offer some insight.

Secondly, I don't think the test would be positive if either you wernt pg or there was still something you hadn't passed. I'd get another scan and bloods to see what is going on

I was getting positive pregnancy tests 3-4 weeks after a D&C for a missed m/c. I ovulated whilst still getting a positive HPT. it is possible to have HCG still in your body. It depends on how high it was originally and how your body deals with it.

Alternatively, you may pregnant again. Wait a couple of days and test again. If the test is darker, go get a blood test.

I had a molar pregnancy so slightly different as the form of hcg has a longer half life and had weekly blood tests. I think it took at least ten weeks after my d&c beforehand hcg was back to zero.

I got pregnant after a missed miscarriage/d&c without getting a period back. So if you haven't been careful its entirely possible that your pregnant and the bleeding could be implantation spotting.

Did you have a beta Hcg done post miscarriage to ensure your levels dropped?

The day after my loss I had a scan which showed everything had passed and my lining was clear. I then saw the obs saw me the next day said nothing about bloods or returning for scans.
This bleeding is 4 weeks after my m/c and is a medium to light period for me. Perhaps a little too heavy to be implantation (cd 31 and I'm a 30 dayer)
Ill test tomorrow and if its darker and not lighter ill go for bloods!

I'd go for bloods anyway. Either way it will give you some answers. Good luck xxx

Well it's time to admit defeat and head to the doctors this week for bloods.
Day 3 of AF and still getting definitely faint lines on the HPT. No symptoms at all of pregnancy so ruling that out altogether.

Ok update:
Went in Wednesday for bloods, results came back dead on 5, so 3 weeks pregnant based on my LMP however I was 5 weeks LMP. As you know, pregnancy won't be confirmed till its over 25. The urine test at the doctors was also negative.
So I had more blood drawn last night (Sunday) to see if levels are going up, down or remaining the same. Still testin positive (really faint) on the FRER tests which apparently can detect really low levels.
I still have slight pregnancy symptoms but nothing like my previous 3 pregnancies.
I also test really strong lines on HPT's so my heart is saying leftover hormones are causing all this grief.
I just wish I knew how long it takes urine levels to drop in relation to blood levels.
