I have just washed my beautiful Sakura Bloom silk sling. Its green, cream and brown. At least it was. Now its green, brown and lime. Not so beautiful anymore and I'm so pee'd at myself.
Any suggestions of what I can do to get the colour out of the cream?
There is a thing you can get from the supermarket, little bottle/packet thats meant to help its with the stain removers and things I can't recall the name sorry, had a customer tell me it saved her white jeans after washing them with something red!
Yeah I can't recall the name of it either but it's usually on a high shelf where the dyes are in the supermarket.. Colour run or something along those lines it's called.
pretty sure it's called dyelon or something similar..... it's called dye run remover and comes in a box of little sachets. It has saved a load of things in my house lol. My only other recommendation would be to keep the fabric wet until you get some; it seems to work better if you dont let the stain dry :)
I also can't remeber the name, but you can get it at Woolies and it is usually on the high shelf with the stain removers.

How annoying. I think I would take it to the dry cleaners and see if they can fix it or ask for advice there as they would have more knowledge than me!
There's a product called runaway that might work.
The dylon colourrun remover is supposed to be gentle enough for silk (not the one for whites!). /you may be able to get some from spotlight. I have some synthrapol, which would also work. You can grab a squirt off me if you want :)
Dylon run remover - but absolutely make sure you use the one for coloured fabrics because the one for whites strips all the colour. Not sure how suitable it is for silk but read the packet & see what you think.
Thanks ladies. I've got one from Coles but it says not recommended for silk. Not sure what to do now because its been out in the sun (was drying in patches and not in others so I figured best to dry it all). The sun has done its job a little and the cream is now a very pale greeny sort of cream - probably nobody else would even look twice at it, but I know IYKWIM. Not sure if I should now risk the entire sling by using something on it? Damn silk. Beautiful but temperatmental.
I haven't got the dylon one MadB and Marydean have both mentioned though so I might go back and see if I can find that if its ok for silk. Thanks for the offer MadB - might take you up on it if I can't find any here. I could always accidentally leave all my kids with you . . .
What did you decide? Did you treat it or decide just to stick with the new colours?
