No positive opk but heaps of ewcm???

We are trying for number three at the moment and I usually ovulate somewhere between day 14 and 18. Usually day 16. So yesterday was day 16 and as expected woke up to HEAPS of ewcm which continued throughout the day. Dh and I have dtd every second night including last night. My question is that my ewcm seems to be getting less but I haven't yet got a positive on an opk?? I have used cheapies and expensive ones and nothing. I did notice today's was 'more positive' as in I could see a line so obviously hormones are there but it wasn't a positive....so anyway has anyone ever had all the symptoms of ovulation but never got a positive on a test???

My last cycle I noted EWCM on CD10 and CD11 and then ovulated on CD13 so for me the EWCM happens 2-3 days before. Hopefully you'll get a positive OPK in the next couple of days? The line on mine got darker for a few days and then was darker than the control on CD13. Hopefully that's what yours is doing! Good luck!

Try doing another OPK this afternoon. My ewcm was always all over the place but when I conceived DD, I had my only positive OPK in the afternoon. The timeframe for a surge is quite small so it could be that it is gearing up to happen soon. Good luck!

The surge in oestrogen (which causes the EWCM) typically happens the day before the LH surge (which gives you the +opk). I'd be hoping to see a +opk tomorrow and O the day after, based on what you've said. That said, I agree with the PP that I'd test again this afternoon in case it's earlier than expected.
