Hemorrhoids (sorry sp?) and maybe TMI
5 years post birth I have these horrible things around my anus. They are itchy, give me a feeling like I have worms (although I dont) and I have to put extra effort to keeping the area clean (if you know what I mean). I'm sure they're from the birth. Has anyone had these post delivery? If they didn't go away, how to you live with them or did you get them removed (is that possible?).
My GP says they're small and fine, but I'm going nuts!

Hi Moglie, just subbing because I have the same problem. :(
Re: Hemorrhoids (sorry sp?) and maybe TMI
I had these when pg with my twins. I used a cheap over the counter remedy which worked a treat and very quickly too. Ice is also very soothing in the short term. Hope you get some relief soon.

I have the same problem. It wasn't as bad after DD1 but the feeling is awful since DD2 :( I've been meaning to post as well to see if anyone else suffers from this, so as much as it's awful I am relieved to know it's not just me.
I spoke to one of our GPs about it and she didn't even bother to look, just told me no one would consider removing them until we were done having kids and even then, she said it's an awful procedure :dunno: I thought banding was ok?
I use to get brazillians quite regularly but since falling pregnant with DD2 (and the return of the rhoids), I've only had a couple and getting my behind done was so embarrassing. Now I'm a tad too hairy down there as well cause I haven't had the guts to get another full brazillian so I've got the hairy crack to add to my dilemma!
Think I might get my GP to check again. It feels foul and I dread doing number twos and washing myself as it just feels so uncomfortable in that area and it reminds me of how foul it is down there. I hate it!!

My youngest is 5 now and I am having the same problem described in this original post. Went to specialist. He wants to do a full colonoscopy and removal. He says he does with all patients. Does that seem a bit OTT?
He also said they were not too bad... But soooo itchy and sore at the moment. I will do anything for some relief!
