DS just had his 6 months vaccinations and....

the poor little sausage has been out of it for almost 2 days.

He is feverish, grizzly, tired, uncomfy and all he wants is cuddles, which I am fine with......... Just wondering if anyone elses kids had similar reactions and when they went away?

He was ok for the last 2 vaccinations, a little more clingy than usual and a bit tireder but not to this extent and the symptoms went after 24 hours.

Dont want to start a debate on if I should have vacc'ed him or not, just would love some reassurance that he will be back to his usual happy smiley self sooner rather than later!

My DS was ordinary after his 6 mth vacs too. He came good after a couple of days. The nurse told me its because their bodies have started to build an immunity to the viruses so their bodies are working to do what they need to do. Hugs hon hope you bub is feeling better soon

He sounds unwell! Is he keeping down fluids? No rashes or other signs of illness?

Mine were never like that - is it possible he was coming down with something before he got his shots?

He has no rashes or anything else I can see apart from a tiny bit of a snotty nose.

He has been feeding like a champion and if anything is drinking more than usual, its been super hot where we are... over 40 degrees for almost 3 weeks now so he is a great drinker of both boobies and water from his sippy cup.

Perhaps he was coming down with something before the shots?:dunno:

I am hoping its like bubbas little one and he has just built up some immunity.

My dd gets fever and grumpy for 1-2 after her shots too.

Could he also be starting to teeth? Dd has been for a while and so she has those symptoms too.
Doesn't hurt to book into a gp just to be reassured :)

Honestly he could be teething.... the amount of drool he is producing is enough for a regular person to drink each day and stay hydrated....

But he has only really been like this since his shots.... and unfortunately the only doc in the area won’t be back for another week, we are stuck with the RAN's (remote area nurses) who are supposed to be our supports when the docs are not visiting, but are actually pretty awful and doctor Google has on occasions been more correct and helpful than they were...

But I am feeling a bit better that other little people were also knocked about a bit by the shots.
