28 week glucose check

Hi,
I am trying to work out if I am meant to fast for this test or not? Did any body else?

What does your referal say? It should have a box to tick for fasting
If it's the 2 hour one then yes you do ;)

Is it the one that you drink stuff? Then yes, actually I think any blood sugar test is fasting.

it doesnt say that it is fasting or not. and i think its just the hr test. (the standard one everyone does i think)

My ob only sends for the longer one now and I did have to fast.

I had to fast but it was for the two hour test. You can call Melb. Pathology (or whomever you are going to get it done by) and check with them

I had the 1 hour test and I did not have to fast before hand. I was told to eat normally but to avoid anything to high in sugar like soft drink, etc.

I too had the hour one and didn't have to fast. My ob just recommended going in the morning and not having anything high in sugar just before (I think she said something along the lines of toast and a cup of tea).
