Literary/Heroine girls names needed!
Ok, so DH and I have a shortlist of first names, we wanted something classic and old-fashioned but not too common. So the shortlist is
Daisy (I would commit crimes in order to call my kid Daisy)
Dorothy (I politely tolerate this name for the sake of my marriage)
Arabella
Delilah (ALL, and I mean ALL of our relatives hate this name)
Now we need middle names. Our DS has a literary middle name which is very uncommon, but has huge meaning to us, so we're looking for a similar kind of name for our in-utero DD. We were looking at Shakespeare heroines, but nothing is standing out. I think the name Hero is pretty cool, but DH doesn't like the actual character (Much Ado).
So, any kick ass heroine names? Any historical time period is cool too, or any kind of hippie name that could mean belief/conviction, without using any actual virtue name, so Hope and Faith etc are out (thanks DH!)
Gosh we make this hard for ourselves.
Any help appreciated.
