Dates

Ok so this is my 4th baby so you'd think I could answer my own question! ;)

I know the date of my last LMP is 23rd of November and I pretty much know when I ovulated, which makes me due 30th August. My periods were pretty regular!

My scan however said I am actually due 24th August! That's a whole 5 - 6 days earlier than I thought! How is that possible? Which date should I be going by!

I would go by the later if they give you a choice. Gives you mor time before they start pushing for induction.

Depends on the hospital too. Mine works on dating scan over LMP

I'd go by your LMP, also, for the same reason as Calluna. The scans can be out, it happens. With my DD the early scan showed a due date 6 days later than my original - and our dates were solid since we did IVF. In my case, since I seem to have long gestations, it was handy to go with the scan EDD, since it was later. I would pick a date that suits you better and stick with it.

Yep I think that's the best idea! I'll go with the earlier date now while it's still early and then at the pointy end I'll switch! :-)

Just go with your gut feeling! Prob LMP!
Scans can be out but the can only measure growth, and sometimes baby is curled up!
