Migraines
Has anyone else suffered bad migraines through pregnancy? I've had one nearly daily for a week. Most of them are visual disturbances and tingly fingers, numb face etc but if I don't take enough pain relief I will get the headache after as well.
I got another one today and took one codeine and one panadol. Then I crashed on the couch a bit. Then later on I got the visual disturbances so I treated it with an ice pack on the back on my neck and a cup of coffee. Which worked after a while.
I'm over them already - I did Google and I know its a common thing but its so annoying especially when I have kids to look after. Anyone else get them? When did they stop? I'm 13 weeks on Friday.

I'm over 31 week now and only just starting to control them. I was on meds pre pregnancy but weren't safe to continue. Lots and lots of water is all that helps me. Resting when you can (hard with other kids, I've put DS into care more to help allow more rest time). Speak with your GP, they might be able to give you some help how to manage it better.
Drug wise I take Panadol Osteo rather then usual Panadol. Ill also take Panadeine Forte when I hit breaking point, but the constipation side seems to sway me against it lol

Hey lovely - i got them all the time when i was preggers with number 3- I also got them really badly after I delivered- everytime he dropped or gained a feed- i would get one- damn hormones. I ended up going on Beta Blockers and they have been a godsend- I am still on them now as they take away the reactions my body goes under when my hormones fluctuate. They have been life threatening. Apparently they are a common treatment for migranes esp when preggers as they are safe to take. Speak to your health care provider about this option.
HTH and hang in there!!!
