Just the diet , argh getting sugar withdrawals today my craving has been for chocolate and ice cream now I've cut back to a teaspoon a day it's starting to hit me
I would avoid it. You don't want to have a high reading or 2 from some unknown, have them freak out and put you on insulin.
Completely understand the withdrawls though - I used to statisfy mine with custard after my dinner reading was done so it had the whole night to "disappear". It was actually one of the few things I could have that didn't cause to high a reading.
How often are you testing? I used to sneak in something sweet straight after I tested!! I only did this occasionally, my GD was diet controlled as well with very few high readings so allowed myself a treat every now and then.
I don't have to test thank goodness I was borderline she gave me a stern talking to and told to do gd diet because of bubs weight and early placenta deterioration but I guess she trusts me enough to behave myself without monitoring
