I had my gallbladder taken out today. Just saw dr who said I had chronic inflammation and they took 3 stones the size of golf balls. No bloody wonder I was in pain.
Let me tell you child birth is a walk in the park as a pose to the bloody drainage thing I have in!
In overnight at the moment, looking forward to having drainage out and being in my own bed.

I've had loads of drains removed, some after a much longer time - it doesn't hurt, it just feels weird. Immediate relief after they come out.
Rest up & I hope you recover quickly.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. I had a drain after my GB removal. I was completely freaked out about getting it removed as so many people had told me it hurts. I was a mess and the nurse reassured me that it wouldn't hurt and it really didn't. It was nothing. Like MD said, it was kinda a strange feeling but definitely not painful at all.
All done and home now. So nice to be in my own bed. Thanks girls x
