VBA3C in Newcastle, taree, port maquarie area
Hi,
background info
Unfortunatly i have had to have 3 c-sections in the past, my boys are nearly 8, 3 and nearly 2.
The 1st C-section was purely because i was young and naive and believe the OB when he said you'll never push a postier baby out naturally. 2nd was a mix of downcomings, i was Aiming for a VBAC with a supporting OB but dislocated my ankle, pulled all my tummy and groin muscles and then got servre pitting oedena from my toes to my groin, and he was measing big, choice to have a c-section. and 3rd was only 14months from the last and dr didnt want to risk it at all.
now years on i regret it so much, feel like i missed out on some special motherhood initiation... yeah yeah i know it hurts!
Im an EEN studying to be an RN and work in a tiny rural hospital and have delivered babies, so i realise birth is painful.
My question is
DH and i would like to try for baby #4, but i need a VBAC, i cant explain how much i want it. I have lost 30kgs since falling pregnant with DS#3.
i i live in a small rural town i cant birth here as they have only very low risk as no surgery/complication back up or pain relief options. and only 1 OB in the town not always reachable, as well as midwives not always reachable either... I would have to birth at taree, port maquarie or newcastle. I called JHH in newcastle and the midwife straight out said no dr here will accept you for a VBA3C!!! no way no chance! too bad....
im heartbroken....
Im after suggestions or reccomendations for OBGyN's or Independednt Midwives.... anything....
Thanks Krissy
