DD is in two mnds for toilet
DD is turning three next month. she seems pretty fine going to toilet and sit on toilet seat.she was scared at first but now she is happy on her small
fitted seat inside.
she could sense when she is wetting her nappies and passing the poos, she gets uncomfortable and rush me saying muma toilet toilet clean me.
then she sit on her seat and I wipe her.
She simply not getting the idea that she has to wee and poo in the toilet.I demonstrate her how to wee ( that was gross and i dislike the idea)
since then while sitting on her seat instead of doing she verbally says wee, wee potty potty. she is simply not getting or may be she is confused.
if i feel she is pooping in her nappy i take her to toilet but again she won't do a thing she just stopped pooping.
any help how to teach her, I am feeling so frustrated. DD all day want me to take her to toilet and she does nothing I want to bang m head with wall its been happening from 1.5 months and Iam really worrying now.
DD is in two mnds for toilet
I would try putting her in "big girl knickers" rather than nappies or pull ups. That's what worked for us.
Hugs xx - toilet training is hard!
DD is in two mnds for toilet
I haven't successfully toilet trained yet but I am hopefully in the process :) I put him straight in 'special undies' told him they were so very special and if he wee wee or poo poo in his undies then I had to take them away. So far he does his morning wee wee and after nap wee wee on his potty. The rest are hit and miss but you gotta be prepared to just wipe up the wee and then try again. Never get angry if they do slip up just say supposed to wee wee and poo poo in potty.
To get the morning wee I know you say you don't like demonstrating but we have never shut DS put of toilet when we went in there, we always told him mummy or daddy doing wee. So in the morning when I go in there I say 'mummy do wee, DS do wee too' and he sits with me and we morning wee together with him on the potty and me on the toilet.
Also I give him toys while he is on the potty, a Thomas and a Percy toy and I tell him that Thomas and Percy would like to see him wee wee on his potty. He really does like pleasing those two trains :) even try reading a book while your dd is on there, or have the tv on so she is distracted enough to sit there for a long period of time. Our potty ends up all over the house, the toilet the living room outside.
And lots and lots of praise when there is a wee wee or poo poo on potty we give high fives and if daddy isn't home we ring him straight away and tell him. I also pour contents in the toilet and let him flush it away which he is proud to do.
Hope those ideas help, like I said I have not successfully toilet trained yet, DS is my one and only so I'm flying blind but these ideas have worked so far for me :) good luck!!
