Just heard that statistic today. Don't know where it came from, or what research was done, though. Can anyone tell me if they've seen more info on that? I find that fascinating, although not surprising. Would love to hear more about it!
Yes that is true for doulas - in the sense that a doula results in 50% less caesarean sections. These are well known figures from the world's leading authority on doulas, Drs Klaus and Kennell who founded DONA. If you check out the DONA site it has recent research - everything to do with doulas :)
