Do they really work for BAD heartburn??
I can't use OTC stuff as the textures and tastes make me vomit badly. Milk does nothing either.

Apparently kiwi fruit is meant to help but after eating about 6 in one go with no luck I have up on that one
I've found if you eat enough it does help lol tastes a lot nicer than the over the counter stuff anyway
They might take the edge off, but TBH they weren't great when mine was really bad.
Almonds, aloe vera juice, coconut water, fennel seed tea, slippery elm lozenges, very ripe paw paw, sitting upright after eating, sleeping with your head elevated, eating smaller meals and drinking ginger tea are also supposed to help.
Milk makes it worse so stop drinking that.
The only thing that helped mine was fizzy drinks. Sparkling mineral water was my fav drink!
I've resorted to seeing my GP for help. Hopefully I can get something to control this horrid burn.
They gave me some relief, but not enough. As soon as I'd stop sucking the burn was back.
I had to get something from my gp too. As much as I hate the idea of it, I couldn't keep going the way I was.
They worked a treat for me such good relief!!
Would tingles effect your sugars?
Milk is an acid so putting it with an acid isn't the best of ideas - yes it does work for some but shouldn't really be used.
What about bicarb & water ? (bicarb is a base, which will help to neutralise the acid in your stomach).
Ditched the milk now!
DF stocked up on fruit tingles too, just incase they work for me. Not sure how long these meds take to work, but its been 4 hours and still not helped.
If wives tales are true, my bub has an Afro head of hair lol
Dunno about those wives tales, my heartburn has gotten worse each pregnancy - and only my first one was born with any hair LOL
I get it quite bad and I find eating an apple helps
Roseti ,this drug is a proton pump inhibitor it works by decreasing the stomach acid Produced ..But is not meant for a quick fix and won't work immediate ..
It can take a few days to get the full effect ...
I have used a similar drug that works the same ..
Cinder - thanks for explaining that to me! I guess ill give it a few days and hope it helps then :)
Mix some honey and cinnamon with hot water, like a tea, and drink it half hour before meals. Helps neutralise stomach acids and is actually quite good for you :)
