Haematoma
Thank you in advance to anyone who replies ...
I had 3 large bleeds on Monday (12w2d) and ended up in emergency. I had a scan and was advised I have a Subchorionic Haematoma at the base of the placenta, though the placenta is still 100% attached. Since the U/S I have only had very minor bleeding and its brown like old blood - they said I should expect to bleed a fair bit.
Today I had my NT scan (12w4d) and baby is still fine however the haematoma looks a little bigger and has moved down closer to the cervix. On one measurement it was 7x3.5x2cm and another said it was only 2.4cm x 4.5cm.
Anyone had this larger size haematoma and everything work out ok? The sonographer and ER doctor said everything will more than likely work out fine, there is no need for extra scans unless I would like them for reassurance. I'm not seeing my OB until next Thursday. I'm so worried about the clot getting so big and detaching the placenta from the wall ....

How scary for you. I hope your baby is ok.
I had a subchorionic haemotoma also though it was not that large. It showed on my first scan at 5w3d and by the next scan at 7w6d it had gone.

Haematoma
Nikki - I had 2 m/c with no bleeding before. This preg I was 8 weeks and had bleeding and clots then again at 11 weeks. I seriously thought it was all over, but bubs was fine!!
It's a hard time not to worry but lots of bed rest, water and listen to your body, of your tired hungry whatever, do it.
I'm 34 weeks now, bleeding eased off at around 17 weeks. So there is hope but still need to rest. The haematoma may move down but then it also means your body is trying to get rid if the bad stuff - a SCH from what I was told is a bruise on the inside of the uterus. As baby and sac expands the body either expels it, or absorbs it.
Try not to worry too much! Xx

Sorry this is scaring you  I remember when I had a small bleed the sonographer was telling me that plenty of ladies have had huge bleeds and everything was fine. I hope this is the case for you :)
