Going to get 'diagnosed' with reflux
So, in 2 hours I'm taking DD2 to the doc as I'm positive she has reflux. It's not as bad as DD1's, but its there. Last time out paed finally agreed there was something wrong at her 6 week check. This time I'm going to the GP. I want them to believe me straight away. I know what reflux is after enduring it with DD1 but I'm afraid the doc will want to take a wait and see approach.
So, my question to you is, do you have any tips for getting the doc to believe its not just 'another' spewy baby who has you twisted around their little finger by screaming until you pick them up or pop them upright after a feed? Or who you can hear the vomit going up and down their throat whilst they are screaming, even when nothing is produced. Or can be happy for hours and then have reflux episodes....

I just told them straight out, told them all her symptoms and that I could see she was clearly in pain. That I didn't care about always vomiting so long as there was no pain. Explain you've had a child with reflux and you know the signs. Good luck, I hope they listen, there's nothing worse than seeing your baby in pain.

So glad you didn't have any problems hun. My GP was awesome when I took DS last week, she just said "well you're an experienced Mum so you know something's not right". Love it when a GP listens!
