I had my first BT today and my estrogen was perfect but progesterone was 33 - the clinic likes it to stay over 30. They have increased my pessaries to 4 a day.
We had a blastocyst transfer in Saturday and I'm well and truly in the midst of the paranoid " can't think of anything else" stage.

So you are only in the first week of the 2ww? I hope you get through it ok :) try and stay busy but rest aswell :)
Hi Cass, I only had around 30 for my twin pregnancy. Next time around my FS didn't bother checking p4. Apparently there is some thought that pessaries or crinone isn't always detectable in BT, so your body could have more but BT not picking it up. I hope this makes sense. For my last IVF, I was told the progesterone pessaries (3x 200mg per day) would only contribute about 10 to my P4 level. As per BDT's suggestion, there's a school of thought that the progesterone from pessaries or crinone goes straight to where it's needed (ie the uterus) rather than circulating in the bloodstream. That's why they're supposed to be more efficient than other options that have to enter the bloodstream (and go everywhere in the body, not just the uterus).
Thank you for putting my mind at ease. I'm on 4 x 400mg per day. The whole thing is such a waiting game but I only have 8 days to go now.
