I'm a Debutante's Mother! Help!

First off, YAY! There's my Woo-Hoo (saves on another thread, lol).

Secondly, I have no idea what I'm doing! Wearing. Looking like. Shoes. Etc. What's the protocol for parents?

I have a long dress that the Man suggested I wear. It's ankle length, dark metallic grey blue, thin straps. I don't remember ever wearing it. Does this sound suitable? I can post a photo tomorrow. It would contrast nicely with my red hair I think. Or do I need to wear black?

I have no idea what colour shoes would go, black? I doubt that I could find shoes (and a purse I guess too) to match.

And need hair ideas..... I have fairly bright red hair, just past my shoulders. I am totally hopeless at hair too, so I should really say I am desperate for ideas!

Lastly, for now, I need to dance with the Boy! Omg, he wants me there, not his bio Mum! I feel so special!

Thank you Emma09, super ideas! I would never of thought of nude coloured shoes. :) Up-do. I can picture something I like, I'm going to have to do some serious youtube trawling I think! I'll probably still have to get someone else to do it for me though. But hey, I've got time to practice!

Definitely nude shoes, they go brilliantly with blue.

Do you have a fringe? When it y hair was that length my go-to was a sweepy side fringe, then the bottom pulled into a messy bun. Then I'd take pieces of the rest and pull it back into the bun with bobby pins, so bits stuck out but the rest was still neat, if that makes sense?

Lovely! Netix you can buy these mesh netting donut looking things that help you do a bun. You do a ponytail and put the donut on with tail hanging through, then bobby pin the hair around it to make a bun. I'm useless with hair but can do a bun with this.

I would have thought black shoes would be good with that dress (but then I'm not terribly fashionable!). It is so special that he's asked you!

I would also have a shawl or throw type thing.

Your hair will be easier if you can get a friend to come a help. Find a youtube clip for her to follow. An updo is always stylish.
