Not sure where to put this...HELP!

Hi, I am in desperate need of advice. My hubby just got made redundant on Tuesday :( So we are both currently looking for work, hoping he gets a job but one of us needs to be working and in the interim that may be me. My DD is just 4 months old and has been exclusively breast feeding since the day she was born, which I am so proud of because I lost my supply with my first 2 bubs (various different reasons, sever endometritis etc).
Here's the problem- she WILL NOT take the bottle, refused a dummy etc. Anything that isn't a boob or her fist seems to choke her (she gags like we are trying to kill her). I have tried all different types of bottles and nothing is working. I'm already devastated about possibly leaving her while she's so young to return to work, let alone the thought of her extremely distressed, hungry and screaming.
What do I do? HELP!

Thanks Hun :hug: It is so stressful. Not to mention the fact they did it exactly a month before the end of the financial year which has screwed us over with centrelink :(

Could you try bottle feeding when someone else does it (not you) and you are not around (at least in another room)? Sometimes bubs won't take the bottle when they know boob is right there :)

Is there an option for you husband to bring your child to your work place at feed times??

I have had to express and have someone feed her on the 1.5 days per week I am back at work since she was 2 weeks old. I find if I am around she chokes gags and fusses but it fine when I am not there. My dd also won't take a dummy. Maybe as suggested above try that.

My LO never took ebm from a bottle either. Can your partner bring her to you for feeds?

My Mum has had some luck in spoon feeding ebm to my DD and to other grandkids.

I dforgot to mention I did leave her on Friday night with DH. Her last feed was at 6:30pm and I didn't get back until 11:30. She refused to feed that whole time :( Apparently she screamed and screamed then went to sleep then woke up and screamed some more. I was upset at DH for not ringing me to tell me because I would've come back.
I got a call from a job I applied for this afternoon for an interview, but DH got an email about an interview today too so here's hoping I won't have to worry about it!

My daughter was the same, then I was told to try the brand "mam" and the teats worked, they also fit into avent bottles. They are much softer and thinner.

My friend had the same situation ( 4mth old, wouldn't take bottle, she was starting full time work in a week), they persevered and persevered the week before she started work and he did begin taking a bottle, he has one bottle, then gets brought into her work for a feed (obviously this won't work for everyone) and she also started him on a little bit of solid food - he's a big buddha so it just gave her hubby something else to give him. She has found it very stressful though.

Saffy- thanks Hun. I'm just so worried she won't take it and I cannot leave her screaming. I just want to keep going with exclusively bf, this is my last bub and the first bub I have been able to bf past 3 months.

I rang the aba and they said to use a cup or a dippy cup- which i think is a bit ridiculous for a just 4m old. I

An open cup (like a shot glass size) or a spoon can be a way of offering fluids if bub doesn't take a bottle. Babies can 'lap' at the milk a bit like a cat. Sippy cups are tricky for even older babies to learn.
