What isthe current rate of Baby Bonus for subsequent children?

Ok, so I know about the reforms to start in March next year. And I know that the BB is $5000 for the first child, but what is the amount I will be eligible for in October for my SECOND child. I looked up the c'link website and it says nothing about the current rate for subsequent children.

anyone know what it is?

I'm confused about that too. I got 3000 for first in 06 and I'm sure I got 5000 for second in 09.

That'd only be because it went up between '06 and '09 - there was no difference between first and subsequent children before... Last year, I think? Very recently in any case.

I'm pretty sure it is $3,000 for subsequent children.

From memory they announced only a few months ago that from June the payment for subsequent children would change to $3000, I may be remembering that incorrectly though (it didn't apply to me) so someone feel free to correct if I'm wrong. There was a thread about it at the time though....

Am 90% sure post July second children was 3000.

Yep I think it's this too.

You will get 3000. As from July 1st it is going down to 3grand for second kids.

Other changes will happen march next year

I always thought it was whatever the going rate was - ie, no difference for subsequent children?? Better push this baby out before July 1st ;) hahaha :doh:

It's only being changed for second ect children on this July 1st .. So first child you get 5000 . Second etc 3000.

From first of july If its your first child you get 5000 . If its your second ,third child Etc you get 3000 :)

From before July 1st anyone who has a baby will get 5000..

My understanding is if you have multiples as your 'first' baby you will receive $5000 per child. $3000 per subsequent birth thereafter until the new reform in 2014.

Yes it's per baby . So I it's before July 1st it's 5000 per baby for multiples if it is your first "child " ..

Yes this is the case
And it's for all subsequent children not just from same birth.
