Endo anyone have a second lap?

I;ve just had a second month of horror complete with all of the bowel and bladder pain(plus some) of pre lap days. So I am thinking I might have to look at further surgery. First lap was about 3 years ago.
Has anyone with endo here had significant amounts removed been fine for a number of years and then needed another?

I had two in a 6 month period, probably because the first dr was incompetent and left significant endo behind including endometriomas. Many women have regular surgery to deal with the issue unfortunately.

I've had 4 laps in total (specifically relating to endo - have had 2 others for different reasons). the first was when i was 23 then the subsequent 3 every 2 years after that. The last one was when i was 29 (I'm 36 now). each time, endo was removed in varying degrees.

funnily enough, since having had kids I've not had it return.

I'm sorry yours is giving you grief again. best thing would be to get in to see your gynae to discuss your options :hug:

I am hesitant to go back to the gynae who did the initial lap - he was excellent as far as surgery went and everything, however he was really insistent that I go onto synarel even though I discussed in depth my reasons for not wanting to. At my post surgery appointment he gave me the script and I had mentioned I wanted to look into it first. I then rang him after doing some research and told him I wasn't comfortable but he was a bit short and 'I'm the doctor' authoritive about me doing it. So I didn't and I never went back for my follow up appointments that I was supposed to make. And clearly it's come back, which he said it probably would if I didn't do what he wanted me to do! So I can't face that 'I told you so, I am the doctor, I know better' stuff. Yes maybe it may have not come back, but nothing was guaranteed other than a whole pile of terrible symptoms from the drugs he wanted me to take!
So I was a naughty girl and really do want to avoid feeling bullied if I can. There are plenty of gynaes in the area, so I guess it's a matter of finding one that suits me.

I am looking in the Toowoomba Qld area if anyone can recommend someone.

as you've said the best thing would be to find a gynae that sits well with you. It really will make all the difference :hug:

I have had two - about 10 years apart. Definitely find a new doctor though - that one's a pig!
