Your thoughts...freaked out :(

This is hard enough as it is :( I am 8 weeks with my rainbow and last night when I went to the loo I noticed some slight pink and brown discharge. I have had none since but still worried. Dh managed to calm me down but of course I am still stressing. I just want a normal no stress pg. when I was pg with dd2 (still born at term) I had slight bleeding at 14 weeks which was obviously unrelated to her death and then my mc in feb this year was very obvious bleeding so I guess rationally number one I know I can't do anything about it and two if its a mc I know what to expect...but still feel like having A meltdown :( I was pretty stressed yest with exams and again rationally I need to calm down but still....

Sorry to hear, I know what it's like having had the same at 6 weeks in my current pg. Are you able to go get a scan, to alleviate your concerns? If it's only been the one time and there hasn't been anymore since, i would guess that you're fine :)

its understandable you will be stressed! biggest :hug: try to take a deep breath and focus on what you can control (perhaps trying to study or something??)

i hope it settles and is nothing :comfort:

I understand how stressed you must be feeling, and I really hope this is your take home baby, but just in terms of managing your expectations for the rest of your pg - I'm pretty sure that a 'normal' pregnancy isn't a 'no-stress' pregnancy. I think it's pretty normal to have some stress about every pregnancy, even when you have no history of problems. Maybe you should be aiming for a 'low-stress' pregnancy instead.

I know how hard it is not to stress :( I just wanted to share my history, to hopefully give you some peace of mind. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant. I have 2 beautiful healthy kids. And 3 sadly missed angels. I have had bleeding with all of my pregnancies, every. single. one.

Don't assume the worst, unless you've got that horrible heavy bleeding - I'm sure everything is going to work out :hug: take it easy!

Thanks so much telly tubby. I am trying to be positive but just keep thinking I hope it hasn't died and I don't know...must stop goggling! I appreciate u telling your story. Dh reminded me that I wasn't worried like this with dd1 and 2 (until after bleeding episode) and that I might have had little bits of spotting here nd there and never noticed it...I have now become a habitual toilet paper checker! I wouldn't have even noticed it if I hadn't been looking for it. I am just expecting something to go wrong - note to self, must change mindset :)

Hugs. I had 2 bright red bleeds, both small that happened 2 days apart at 11 weeks. My DD is now 4 months.
At the time no one could tell me where it came from and suggested it could be a little blood vessel popping, or from DTD (which we hadn't).
I know it's hard not to stress, try and relax and if you get anymore call your care provider and try and get an us for your own peace of mind.

Unfortuneatley it's near impossible to change that mind set! Once youve been there, the toilet stops to "just check" become more frequent. I swear I'm still a regular toilet paper checker (at 26weeks!) haha! We'll get there :)

And FWIW, my DS's pregnancy was one of my worst in regards to bleeding, it seemed to be never ending, constant bright red blood - so even when it seems all is lost, it isn't. Your body knows what it's doing. Have faith. Xxoo

:hug: I had a bleed at 6 weeks and spotted for about 10 days afterwards. I had a scan at 7 weeks and bub was fine. They told me it was a subchoinic bleed between the placenta and the uterus (I think!), so not inside the sack near the baby at all) FWIW, brown blood is old blood too. Try not to stress, I'm sure everything is fine :)

If it helps I had a random bleed for 1 day at 7 weeks, brown blood very light and then the same light brown bleeding for about 3-4 days at 8 weeks. I'm 28 weeks now, ob said it was the same as Tasha I'm pretty sure. Try to relax as best you can :)

Big hugs, I had bleeds at 14, 15, 17 and 19 weeks each only lasting a day or so, they found a tear on the inside of my uterus causing the bleed but it hasn't been an issue for bub at all. Try hard not to stress too much

:hug: Any bleeding is so scary. Before DD1 I had a m/c at 8 weeks which started with brown spotting. Then when pregnant with DD1 I got the same thing at 8 weeks again and so obviously I assumed the worst and thought it was all over. A scan showed a little baby with a heartbeat though and all was fine the rest of the pregnancy. I think the fact that it hasn't continued is a really good sign that everything is ok. Hugs hun, I know it's tough, especially those first few weeks of pregnancy. I had some bleeding this time around week 7 and again at week 9. My acupuncturist said some people bleed when the next period would have been due and unless it's lots and lots of blood my obstetrician said he didn't even want to know about it as it's so common and doesn't mean something is wrong. He is a guy though and hasn't gone through the stresses of miscarriage. I did have a scan with the 9 week bleed as I wasn't having another ultrasound till 12 weeks and would have worried the whole time. Our bub was fine! And still is! Hoping the next few weeks will go fast for you and you can start feeling baby move, such a reassurance!

Telly tubby - I like that I am not the only one who checks my toilet paper! I just can't help it anymore!!
Me4ever - I bet we have the same ob! Hahaha I am not going to call him cos I know he will just say calm down and be realistic!! Hahaha he is a great ob and has been there with my last 2 losses so I know he will bring me back to reality very quickly.

Update - not more sighting of anything unruley! I am hoping this will be the only sighting of blood/anything out of the ordinary. I had a bit of brown spotting yest but nothing since. I feel incredibly pregnant which is a good sign I guess. Must remember to take a deep breathe - wish I wasn't expecting the worst all the time but I guess it comes with the loss of our bubs which makes us extr cautious.

Btw - me4ever, if I wasn't utd my period would have been due on fri or sat - your acupuncturist is onto something maybe!
