Overnight sposie for heavy wetter

Help! DD2 is a very heavy wetter overnight and despite having a wonderful relationship with Huggies with DD1 (and DD2 normally), they just aren't cutting the mustard for me with DD2 as she is starting the day wet 3-4 times a week. The extra washing is very annoying.

DD2 is around 12kg and I put her in the bigger size nappy (Huggies Walkers 13-18kg) about a month ago as upsizing always worked for DD1 but it hasn't helped this time. She has about 200ml of milk at bedtime and that's it - she sleeps through and doesn't drink until morning again.

I considered trying the Huggies Junior size nappy but they were big on DD1 (she still wears a nappy at night, the same size as DD2, and it's fine!) so I think they'd be too big on DD2.

So does anyone have any idea how I can contain the wee using disposables?

We switched to Baby Love when Moo started wetting through at night, have never had a problem since :)

Is it possible for her to have her bottle before bed, wait for a wet nappy, put a new one on? I find that works for my DDs routine. If that fails. Pop a pad in the nappy as a booster?

When our kids went through this stage I put a liner in the huggies I got them from nappyland.

Thanks so much girls. I've bought a pack of Baby Love (in the 12kg + size) so I'll try them tonight. If they don't work I'll try boosters in her nappy.

I found the Alidi nappies fantastic. I have two boys and they didn't leak at all overnight using them.

We had the same issue with DD. I was using babylove and switched to Huggies boys nappies in a bigger size which worked great.

I'm another aldi user! We used Huggies (local W only had home brand or Huggies) and dd was weeing through them needing full clothes changes and one night a sheet change. Baby love didn't hold her wee properly either now did they fit her well. DD is not a big girl either!

Only ever had one leak with aldi with 2 kids so there great

Tauren does the huggies feel quite thin? I ask this because
Ive had a defective box in the past where the nappies leaked due to not enough stuffing.

If thats the case you can contact huggies they have fantastic customer service.

My kids can only use huggies for their super absorbancy.
Somehow the other brands always leaked on them.

Ooh, they are quite thin. Maybe it is just a dud box! This is a new thing. I upgraded her size recently (a month or so ago) due to wetting through when she woke and the bigger nappy solved the issue (as it had done with DD1) but the last few weeks we are getting 3-4 overnight blowouts a week. I'll call Huggies on Monday and see what they say.

Unfortunately we don't have Aldi here in WA so that's not an option. Hadn't thought of trying boys Huggies instead so will keep that in mind too :)

She's still sleeping, late night with family :D It's a good sign though as she hasn't woken from being wet or uncomfy from the change of nappy brand.

She woke wet - bummer! Will phone Huggies tomorrow and see what they say.

I'd be interested to hear what they say too. Huggies are terrible!

Well Huggies Customer Service couldn't have been more helpful, they were brilliant :clap: Not only were they super apologetic and determined to get to the bottom of the issue, they're sending me two boxes of nappies free! It looks like I got a dud box of nappies when we switched to Walkers. The nappies have a code printed on the tabs so they can tell which machine made them and possibly which batch. They're sending me a prepaid envelope to send them a few samples of the duds and they'll investigate it and get back to me :D

After I spoke to Huggies yesterday, I dug through our nappy stash and found some with different codes. They actually seem slightly thicker and fluffier than the duds. I tried one on DD2 overnight and wouldn't you know it, she stayed dry :D

Glad you sorted it out. Only huggies worked for my kids as they have extra sensitive bums :)
