Going to a concert (seated) at 38+5 weeks pregnant

Am I mad for contemplating going to a concert when I will be 38+5? If I get tickets they will be in the seated section and it is an outdoors concert but my DH thinks I am being stupid to even consider it which I prob am but I am such a huge fan and its not like there will be a mosh pit or anything (its a B*rnard F*nning concert.) I should add that I already have tickets to his concert in August so I will still get to see him regardless. So for those of you that actually know what its like to be 38+5 weeks would you bother or am I likely to be way to uncomfortable to sit through a concert? Or should I just get the tickets anyway and see what I am like at the time (you never know I might have popped already by then ;) )

Get the tickets. Enjoy the music. Plan a hot bath & a rest the next day. :)

I'll be 8.5mths preg when I go see PINK brought the tickets before I found out I was pregnant. No way am I giving up my ticket. GO to the concert. I figure if i go into labour at the concert she might give me free tickets for life :)

I would go I sat through AFL games at 40 & 41 weeks during my two pregnancies. Is all about how you feel rather than number of weeks - sitting down doing nothing but enjoying yourself seems like a perfect late pregnancy activity to me.

Provided you aren't going to be too far away from where you plan to give birth I would get them. You don't want to be an hour or more away in case you do go into labour and ave to drive a long way back as that can be quite uncomfortable.

You could always sell them if you can't go. I must add though, I was having a fantastic pregnancy up until 37-38 weeks and then it all came crashing down. I am currently 39 weeks and I can't go to the supermarket let alone a concert! :lol:

personally I wouldnt go... (but thats due to super super fast labours (less then 30min from start to finish)

but if I didnt labour like that then yep I would go.. and just make sure i had fairly quick exit route if needed

If its seated I'd go! I'm not happy about missing out on a fear factory concert next week coz I'll be 35 weeks but that's a whole different scenario!

Well I didnt need much encouargement so it has been decided I will get the tickets and as mentioned I can always sell/ gift them if I am unable to go.

A friend of mine went to a Metallica concert at 40 weeks pg and she stood pretty much the whole time! Definitely go :)

I think it all depends on how you and bub feel. If you feel good and have no concerns then go and enjoy. I personally found it hard to even go to the movies as bub seemed to dislike the loud bangs and vibrations and would kick like crazy til it stopped.

Based on my past experiences, I wouldn't but only cause both my girls arrived spontaneously that week - 38+5 and 38+4!

I love Bernard Fanning though and his first solo tour was amazing. Get the tickets and enjoy!
