Another thread about a number 2!
So my friend's little girl has been complaining about a sore tummy for ages, i think going on about a year now.
As a baby she suffered from constipation and sometimes still does, but generally she's pretty regular.
I have suggested to my friend to take her to the gp for the last year, as has the rest of her family, but they dont seem to think its that important.
Finally, last week they took her. The poor thing will sometimes be huddled up on the chair complaining about the pain and will multiple times a day ask for someone to rub it for her.
Anyways, the gp had a feel around, checked her ears and throat?? and said nothing seems to be wrong.
I said to my friend did you ask for a referral to a specialist because it is not normal to have a 3 year old constantly complaining about a sore tummy. She said no, the gp didnt think anything was wrong.
Now to the number two part. I babysat her today and she had to go to the toilet a couple of times for number two. They were normal enough size etc (she doesnt flush so i have to) but they were a real light yellow colour, almost a creamy beige (sorry if tmi!). That isnt a good sign is it?
I’m at my wits end here, i know its not my child but how can try and make my friend see she needs to get to the bottom of it? Or am i being a hypochondriac ?
Advice please! Even suggestions on what could be wrong.
