Shocked, confused, numb.
I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks this Easter and wasn't coping well. I signed up to a 12 week challenge at my gym and have been smashing it and eating clean all the time but not seeing ANY results. I booked a doctors appointment for yesterday wanting to get my bloods checked as I was blaming my hormones for feeling sluggish and no results. Flo was last 3 days but before I went to gym I saw one pregnancy test kit under the bathroom sink and used it. Came back later and to my absolute shock - BFP!!! I have no signs apart from late period. I'm probably about 4w5d so very early. But I'm spinning out about it. We were preventing, and I was focused on my challenge. I don't know why but I'm not excited or scared. I'm just numb, like this is just a process. Doctor did a POAS and was positive also, I will get bloods tomorrow.

Hunter Mum I think it's pretty normal - that numbness with a BFP after a loss. I hope this bubba makes the full journey earthside with you.

You sound very much like me...numbness has become my barrier, it keeps me sane and I am sticking to it! Don't get me wrong, as the time is going by, I have periods of huge excitement but then go back to keeping myself in check. It has helped me get through the horrible first 3 months if anything...congrats Hun, I hope you have a smooth ride from here :) xo

Thanks everyone, I think the numbness is just protecting me. I do get waves of excitement thinking if we were preventing and bub has chosen us anyway it's gotta be positive thing. Will be a roller coaster few months.
