Wow first pregnancy mood swing for me tonight. Went from ok mood to feeling so grumpy in a flick!! Can't even explain it....
Didn't have this with dd. hormones were great with her, I had an even temperament, easy come easy go.
This one here must be a furry bub lol!!!
Why do we get mood swings in pregnancy??
Lol, I've been like that this pregnancy too! It drives me nuts!! The one positive when it happens is that I feel invincible, like I could on the world.
I had to resist the urge to snap at the girl behind the bar at lunch yesterday because I asked for a non alcoholic ****tail & she looked at me blankly like she had no idea what I was talking about. Poor girl had no idea how close she came to having her head bitten off :o
I thought pregnancy was meant to make us glow & feel joyous? Lol
I feel glowy and joyous...until I look in the mirror, or someone speaks to me! I've been very short tempered and have absolutely no patience for playing with DS. I try to just watch now as much as i can, as I get really antsy helping him with something (puzzle, blocks etc) and then he gets distracted halfway through! Finish the damn puzzle kiddo! I have yelled a couple of times and made him cry, usually about silly things. :( Makes me feel bad, but then I think of the dozen or so other times I bit my tongue and didn't yell, so figure I'm doing alright! Hoping it will pass soon.
I'm a hormonal mess. No easy flow with me :) I'm up and down like a yo yo... It's starting to settle but I'm pretty explosive ...think it can effect a lot of woman
JLeigh29 - That is sooooo me!! I have ZERO patience atm. Hard when I have a 3yo & a 15mo
Do you know whether you've got a girl or a boy in there? In my mother's group we have a theory that if you're moody-angry/impatient/grumpy then it's likely to be a boy and if you're moody-tearful/sensitive/cry-at-sad-ads it's a girl. Was very much this way with my two and most of our group have found this. Not sure if there's anything behind it though... maybe more testosterone with boys?
This time I don't know what I'm having but if I go by my mood theory alone, it's a girl. I'm generally ok, a little cranky but woe betide if I start to cry. Can. Not. Stop. Sobbing!
Santosha - hmmm, does that mean I'm having a birl...or a goy? I'm moody/grumpy/teary. I cried at a Samsung ad tonight, cry almost nightly at the news, when reading the paper etc. I'm not overly sensitive, but have been pointedly making DH say 'thank you' every time I so much as hand him a spoon!
Santosha I have to agree with your theory. I have had 2 boys and both pregnancies I found myself very impatient and grumpy. I felt angry for no reason most of the time! I only cried once or twice with Moo and never cried at all throughout my pregnancy with Buster.
