Conceiving on the mini pill

Hi Everyone,

I know that the mini pill is not as effective as other forms of contraception, but just wondering how many of you have conceived while using it? I have just started taking it and would love to add to our famiy in the near future (the sensible side of me & DH think we should wait a little while longer, hence starting the pill). It probably sounds silly, but i kind of like the idea that it could still be possible to have an 'unexpected surprise' even when taken correctly (obviously feeling clucky). For those of you that did fall pregnant while on the mini pill, was it because it was taken late or missed or did it happen despite using it correctly?

I'd only just started taking it when I got pregnant (maybe a week) I knew DH left some behind after DTd despite him insisting he pulled out so took the emergency pill also. DD2 still came along despite the efforts to prevent her.

i was taking it correctly and no illness etc when i got pregnant.

I had alot of breakthru bleeding while taking it, so not sure if this reduced its efficiency.

I won't take it again, not only because of the pregnncy, but because of the bleeding.
